The Sherwood Plan

Yesterday (Thursday 9 May) we presented our plans for the redevelopment of our flats at Clifton Road. These flats have become unpopular over recent years, and we have found them difficult to let. The flats cannot be adapted if the needs of residents change. The acoustic and thermal insulation also does not meet modern standards. Also the lack of gardens makes these homes undesirable to families.  [ ... ]

With our programme for the regeneration of Sherwood continuing there is a consultation event at TN2 this Thursday (25 April). As well as the new homes being built at Greggs Wood Road, there are plans to redevelop the Burslem Road garage site (right) and the block of flats at Clifton Road. More than a hundred new homes, a neighbourhood park and a community square are all set out in the plans for the next stage of the regeneration of Sherwood. The planning application for phases two and three of the redevelopment of the area has just been submitted by Town & Country Housing Group to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. Thank you to everyone who turned up to the exhibition of the final plans for phases two and three of the Sherwood regeneration on Saturday (26 January). Around 55 people came along. We had another great response at our latest Sherwood consultation event earlier this month when around 40 people came along to give us their views. At the event on 1 December we presented our revised designs to show how we have responded to everything we have heard at previous consultation events we have held throughout October and November. Plans are being prepared for phases two and three of the development in Sherwood and there have already been three consultation events – but it isn’t too late to have your say! Town and Country have another consultation event on Saturday (1 December) running from 11am to 1pm at TN2. The event will look at how the design has been developed following feedback from these earlier consultation e [ ... ]
