Community Budgets for Sherwood

Sherwood has been chosen by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to be a neighbourhood pilot for their Community Budget programme. The bid was led by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council with Town & Country as a key partner - Bob Atwood, the council Leader said:

"I was delighted, as I know were our partner agencies, to hear that Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has been chosen as one of ten national pilots to develop a Neighbourhood Level Community Budget with the assistance of the DCLG. This project will take place in the Sherwood ward and involves key agencies fundamentally rethinking how services are delivered; pulling together our resources to tailor services to meet the varying needs of the community."

Partners of the Sherwood Plan have met with DCLG and the plans to take the project forward are being drafted.
