The consultation carried out to date will be reported in the applications so that the Council can see what has been said and how the design has changed in response.
The Council will then formally consult with local people and statutory bodies and you will be able to comment again at that stage.
PROGRESS TO DATE
- 53 households have now either moved from Kemble Close or accepted an offer of another home
- Town & Country is going through a very thorough selection process to choose the contractor that will carry out the works. We hope to begin demolishing Kemble Close in the summer of 2012 with building work beginning soon after.
- The first homes will be available in late 2013.
One of the key criteria for selecting our Development Partner will be their experience and ability in delivering training and employment initiatives for local people. This scheme will ensure that there are opportunities for local people and we will advertise these in due course.
