After a month on the website, 57 people have voted on our poll: "What is the best way to tackle ASB?". Whilst 34% thought a higher police presence would help, 47% thought that either talking to or providing better facilities for young people on the estate would work best.
In the other poll, 57% of respondents said they would make a small contribution to pay for a private security presence on the estate.
In partnership with other agencies working on the estate, Town & Country recently submitted an application for funds to the Home Office to help fund projects to tackle ASB on the estate. We used the results of the survey above to guide the application and we will let you know how we get on with the application. Even if we are unsuccessful we hope to make additional applications to other sources of money.
If you didn't get around to voting, you still can - we'll keep it up for another month: see the main menu, on the left of the page. If you would like to suggest your own poll, please let me know: Brendan McGowan This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 01892 532464.
